| What distinguishes our new online Blue Book service
from the regular print offerings? After all, the identical data is being made available!
At the heart of the new
service is the the built-in search form pictured at right. With this series
of dropdowns and input fields you are able to customize your view of the
data focussing on the information that you want.
Quick Tutorial
At left, you will see login options. Depending on your browser, the two fields,
Username and Password, are filled in, so all you need to do to gain access to
the protected area is press the Submit button. If either of the fields
are blank, or access is declined for some reason, ensure that the Username is 'demo',
and the Password is also 'demo'.
The first page you will see upon entry is the Account Settings page for the 'demo' account.
None of the links pertaining to changing the settings are active in demo mode; however, you
are able to get a limited view of the latest Canadian Blue Book data. In the Search form, at the top left
of the page, choose a machine type: ATV, motorcycle, snowmobile or watercraft.
Upon making your selection the right hand side of your screen will change showing all the available
information contained in the Blue Book for that machine type, with the demo mode limitation that
the Resale and Wholesale information is obscured. To view this detail, you will need to purchase a
subscription.
You will notice that information is initially presented in pages of 30 items, sorted by
year in descending order (most recent year first). You can toggle the sort order if so desired, as well you
can sort by Manufacturer and Model.
To narrow your search, make a selection from any of the available dropdowns. For instance, if
you were looking, for all BMW Motorcyles made in 1995, first choose Vehicle Type: Motorcycle, then
Manufacturer:BMW, then Year: 1995. Yes, it's as easy as that. To view a detailed individual record
click on the active link in the Manufacturer column. You are also able to query the data by
inputing your criteria into the Model ID or Model text boxes.
